The application allows you to watch images of webcams using the connectivity of your iPhone and iPod touch.
You can add your webcam directly using a simple form, just scan your local network for webcams from multiple manufacturers or simply detect one webcam for a given URL/IP address.
If you do not like typing, you can also use our growing directory of over 3000 webcams to find the one you like and add it to your favorites with a single tap. Additionally it is possible to browse the famous webcams.travel directory (http://webcams.travel/) with more than 12000 cameras.
Webcams can be added to the directory directly on our website http://www.webcams4mobile.de/ and will be accessible after a short review period.

The good: - Allows you to add your own cameras without having to add it to their directory - Clean simple interface - The App icon isnt ugly unlike some other Webcam apps (this is important; dont want ugly icons on my home screen) The bad: - Loads one image at a time, rather than all at once, so the whole app feels quite slow - Doesnt cache images, so you cant see that last image grabbed from any particular camera - I have not found a simple way to rearrange the order of the cameras - Crashed my iPod Touch once so far, had to reboot the device - (minor) The animation of rotating the image when you change the orientation of the device is rather odd Wishes: - Would be nice to have some sort of slideshow feature that advances to the next camera once its loaded the image - Would be nice to have some way to backup the list of cameras Ive added - Would be nice to add a share button, so that you can send to their website cameras that youve added within the app - A cameras near me feature would be cool, based on your current location
Does everything I need it to. It was simple to add a new Webcam to the database, and when I had a question the developer provided fast and courteous responses. I wont be looking for any other Webcam app!
Not the one for your iPad as advertised, but the same as the one for iPhone, same design, same phone-sized image, all the same! I wasted my money. Do you want to?
The app crashes a LOT! So far, I have not been able to get any custom Webcam urls to display. Also, when you try to add Lat/Long the app crashes, every time, and you lose all the data you entered.
I loved this Webcam app, very similar to Locations, but this version falls short. The only problems I see are the constant crashes, slow load times (including wifi) and the lack of Webcams, which I hope, an update will fix. There are a bunch of website throughout the internet where you can find Webcams, but adding them is just a hassle. When adding Webcams, you have to put the info in correct the first time because if you happen to mess up on the url of a Webcam, you cant simply edit it, you have to retype everything all over again. The layout is nice and clean, all the cams you choose to add as favorites are automatically put in alphabetical order. So far, its not bad for 99 cents. Side note: Id like to recommend a new icon because the current one just doesnt stick out like all the rest.
